Is Everest Mountain Flight right for you?
Nepal, known as the land of the Himalayas, is home to 8 of the world’s 14 highest peaks above 8,000 meters. It is a dream destination for travelers who long to witness the grandeur of nature and experience something far beyond the ordinary cityscape. The Everest region, in particular, is one of the most remarkable areas to explore, with its towering mountains, dramatic glaciers, winding rivers, and countless trekking and expedition routes. However, we also understand that not everyone has the time or ability to commit to a long trek, which is exactly why the Everest Mountain Flight was designed.
This one-day flight tour can be enjoyed by travelers of all ages throughout the year, though it is especially rewarding in spring, autumn, and winter when the weather is more stable and visibility is at its best. Clear skies during these seasons make the mountain views even more spectacular. However, monsoon season, from June to August, is not recommended because frequent weather changes, heavy rain, and occasional snowfall can lead to flight delays or cancellations. With its short duration, year-round accessibility, and unmatched Himalayan scenery, the Everest Mountain Flight offers a perfect opportunity to witness the world’s highest peaks without trekking or high-altitude effort.
Does the Everest Mountain Flight Include Any Landing Points?
The Everest Mountain Flight is a non-landing scenic flight, where travelers remain onboard throughout the journey and enjoy the mountain views from the window seats, with no stops or landings along the route. It is purely designed for sightseeing and aerial photography, suitable for a quick, memorable mountain experience. Since there is no landing, you get to immerse yourself in the scenery safely while returning to Kathmandu on the same flight.
If you want to set foot near the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, or at Kala Patthar, the highest point reachable during a standard EBC Trek without climbing permits, you can choose the Everest Helicopter Tour with Landing. This tour includes several landing points, allowing you to enjoy close-up views of the Himalayas and experience the Everest region from both the air and the ground.
Major Protocols to follow during the flight
