Travel Insurance

Destination Himalaya Treks and Expedition suggest and recommend travel insurance for any expedition here in Nepal. Having travel insurance acts as a safety net for you to enjoy the trek/climbing without worrying much about medical concerns. Most of the trek takes you to an elevation of above 4000 meters and remote areas and trails along the mountain areas, there are always risks of unseen medical emergencies (rarely) circulating.

Please make sure that it covers medical injuries, theft, and loss of property, and do not forget helicopter evacuation in case of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). As evacuation is the only way in the mountains. If these are not managed before the trek then it can cost thousands of dollars to cover the bills. So, please consider this and take time to check the clauses thoroughly mentioned in your policy.

Note: For further details please WhatsApp or email us. We can assist you with many travel insurance recommendations that cover all of the mentioned aspects.

Flights/ Delays and Cancellation

Well, as we all are familiar with how there are always unseen conditions circulating around the mountains due to bad weather situations. Due to this the majority of domestic flights get delayed or canceled, especially in the Annapurna, Everest, Dolpo, and Jumla regions.

If this unfortunate situation occurs, the departure date or the completion date of your trek may need to be changed. Hence, the clients need to bear the extra expenses for food, and accommodation costs by themselves.

Photography and Videography Policy

Our DHT members of portes, guide, and assistant guide might click on your pictures (with your permission of course) during the trip. We may use those photographs and videographs for the promotion of our businesses through the website and other social media sites such as Facebook, and Instagram by the company account.
