The journey simply begins with an early morning drive to Chitwan National Park from Kathmandu, which usually takes approximately 5 hours to reach the Chitwan bus station, from where you will be picked up by the hotel representative/team, and transferred to the 3-star hotel or lodge. Kathmandu or Pokhara to Chitwan by Flight

If you are in Kathmandu, you have several transport facilities to start the Chitwan National Park Tour. Firstly, the flight option that takes you to Bharatpur Airport - 25 to 32 minutes, the flights operate daily, and after reaching the airport, you must hire a taxi or local bus ride to Chitwan National Park. This option is the most feasible and easily accessible, but falls on the expensive side.

Kathmandu or Pokhara to Chitwan by Tourist Bus

Secondly, the regular option, the tourist bus, is available. To start the journey, the starting point is Gongabu, or Sorakhutte (Balaju), if you are in Thamel - a tourist area, which takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending highly on the road condition and peak season as well.
