Mr. Karma Gelje Sherpa, a native of Okhaldhunga, a remote and beautiful district nestled in the Himalayan region of Nepal, is a highly skilled and experienced trekking and mountain guide currently working with Destination Himalaya Treks and Expedition. With deep-rooted knowledge of the mountainous terrain and local culture, Karma has been an invaluable member of our team for several years.
He has successfully guided clients from across the globe, including Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia, on numerous treks to some of Nepal’s most iconic destinations, including Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, and other high-altitude adventures in the Himalayas. Karma is not only known for his professionalism and reliability but also for his warm, friendly nature and dedication to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every trekker.
Karma has completed professional training in first aid and altitude sickness prevention, both of which are essential for high-altitude trekking. In addition, he is a certified trekking guide and has undergone specialized training as a trekking team leader.
