One of our airport representatives will come to pick you up at the airport. They will meet you at the exit gate, carrying a board with the company's name on it. Hence, you won't have any problem recognizing him after meeting each other. He will straight off drive you to the hotel, via private vehicle, where you will be staying for 2 nights before the expedition in Thamel, Kathmandu, and also assist you to check in at the 3-star hotel.

Get some proper rest, and in the evening we will have a brief meeting regarding the expedition with a welcome dinner and also get you introduced to the trekking guide, who will assist you throughout the Nar Phu Valley with the Annapurna Circuit Trek. We'll also discuss the itinerary, and some insights into the trip, and guide you on the safety preventive guidelines with emergency protocols to follow as well. Early morning, after having breakfast, the guide will come to pick you up at the hotel where you are staying. Before 7 AM, we will leave for the destination, by standard tourist bus, toward Jagat. The bus drive itself seems like a journey as it traverses through many picturesque green valleys, bustling highways, beautiful villages, and farmlands, signifying the transition of the varied landscape. In between, we will stop by two places to have lunch and a tea break, after 5 to 6 hours of driving; we will finally arrive in Besisahar, and proceed further to Jagat by a bumpy ride, from here the ride becomes a bit bumpy, and the scenery gets transformed into full, country side nepalese view. Finally, after such a long hour of driving with a captivating view, we will arrive at Jagat - our destination for the day.

Finally, our first hiking trail begins today onwards, soon after having breakfast, the hike begins with a gradual ascent, along the Marshyangdi River, passing the agricultural farms and yak herds, where we will cross several wooden and suspension bridges in between. Entering the woodland (forested area) adorned with red blooming rhododendrons, and pine areas, the trail comprises several ascents and descents, so pay attention while walking uphill, as we get closer to one of the notable villages - Chamje, we can see the locals engaging, in some kind of agricultural farming; we will also take a short break here to have our lunch, enjoying the surrounding aura. Continuing the further hike, with a steep ascent, we'll reach another village of Tal, which will ultimately take us to Dharapani, navigating through the cascading waterfalls, cliffs, and rugged terrains.

Today, the trek will lead us to Koto, a small village, but firstly, we'll enter the forested area of fir, oak, and the fine line of maple, with pine trees in between as well, until we reach Bagarchhap, along with river ridge of roaring Marshyangdi River. En route, the trailhead is fully covered with some mani walls and monasteries, with breathtaking views of several Himalayan peaks like Manaslu, and Lamjung, and the first glimpse of Annapurna II, as well. The route then leads us to the uphill ascent to other notable villages, including the famous Lata Maranf, Dankayu, and Timang, and finally, we arrive at Koto village, where we will stay tonight. Koto is a popular settlement that soars at an elevation of 2620 meters, highly populated by the Gurung locals; hence, while staying here overnight, make sure to make the best out of it by interacting with locals and enjoying their warm hospitality.

Leaving the regular route of the Annapurna Trail behind, today, we will finally enter the Nar Phu Valley today, where we will get our permits checked procedure complete, register our restricted area permits, and proceed with the further hike along the bank of Soti Khola, bidding a bye to the charming village of Koto. Navigating through the pine-forested area, with the accompaniment of cascading waterfalls, historically rich pilgrimage sites, and crossing many suspension bridges in between, we will reach Dharamshala. From here, the terrains get more strenuous as there is a rugged trailhead further and many rocky sections as well, at the same time, with a Tibetan Buddhism pathway, so you will enjoy every bit of it, without being drained out for sure! After 1 to 2 hours from here, we will reach Meta village, with the front view of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal, rewarding you with the alluring vista after challenging 8 hours of hiking.

The hike today leads towards Phu Goan, with the unique insight of the Nar Phu Valley, where the routes have zero track of settlements, however, adorned with rich historic monasteries, prayer flags fluttering in the winds, and several mani walls in between, that will keep you engaging and amused by the Tibetan culture at such high elevation at the same time. The pathway includes several ascents and descents frequently, as we proceed to the villages of Chyakhu, Naar Phedi, and Jhunum before we reach another famous hamlet, the territory - Kyang village, where the view of Pisang Peak, Annapurna South, and Annapurna II, becomes our first glance attained here. 

Crossing several suspension bridges, along with some rock trails, through the Phu Khola, we will finally arrive at Phu gate, which is the gateway to Phu village, walking along with the insight of ancient forts, including the fort of the Khampa settlement, and gazing over the varied Himalayan fauna such as blue sheep known as Chyangra, before reaching Phu Gaon, with the thundering view of Himlung Himal, on the panorama site, we will conclude our day, after reaching Phu - one of the 2 twin valleys.

We must venture out to adapt to the rising elevation, which is why we've set 2 options to hike to, one to visit the Tashi Lakhang monastery - one of the 108 greatest monasteries to exist in the world, which is just 3 to 4 kilometers from the Phu village. If you opt for this, then you will get enough time to explore the village and get in-depth knowledge of cultures and traditions, whereas hiking to Himlung Base Camp might be a bit longer and demand high physical stamina for the round trip, however, the panorama view of Himlung Himal, with other surrounding peaks, will make your every step worth it.

Leaving Phu Gaon, today, the hike proceeds toward the village of Nar, starting with a descent, crossing water streams, suspension bridges, and narrow gorges, retracing the Junam Kharka, back. In the first half, we will cross the high suspension bridge over the gorge of the Lapche River, and then, finally, arrive at the gate of Nar, located at the top hill; from here onward, the route is adorned with highly influential Tibetan Buddhism along whitely washed chortens. In between, we will also pay a visit to four venerable monasteries, with the monks meditating and actively engaged in prayers and chants, giving a serene vibe to the hike. After paying a visit here, we will continue the journey toward Nar village from Nar Phedi, traversing through several hamlets, and mani walls, and finally reaching the gateway to Nar Valley, which leads to the village of Nar, where the first close-up view of Kang Guru, Pisang Peak, and with surrounding peaks.

Another acclimatization day is set here in Nar village, where we can explore the lively village, which seems like art, in such a high, rugged landscape, learning about their livelihood, historic culture, arts, and traditions, visiting ancient monasteries and chortens sitting mystically, with the backdrop of Pisang Peak, Kang Guru, with another eye captivating view of the dry landscape, blending with the snowy frosty mountains. Also, the highlighted part of the day is that we get to immerse in the insight of the distinct way of livelihood of women, engaging in prayers, with beads in hand, spinning the wool to make blankets, and also the echoes of monks' chants in the wind with the yaks and blue goats grazing on the agricultural farms. The whole day is dedicated to learning the in-depth cultural experience of Nar village. If you want, you can interact with women, learn wool carvings, and cook local foods.

Today, we have a long day ahead, and one of the most strenuous sections of the Nar Phu Valley route. At the same time, we will cross the first high pass of Kang La Pass - 5322 meters, which will also ultimately lead us to the Annapurna Circuit route. The hike today begins via Temdenzon Khola after an ascent from Nar village, traversing through the yak herds, and meadows, and we will reach Kang La Phedi, from where the uphill walk leads us to the high pass of Kang La, attaining here to the top, the breathtaking panorama views of Himalayan peaks such as Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II, along the Marshyangdi valley, blending with alpine meadows. The colorful prayer flags flapping in the wind give the Tibetan culture an aura to the thrilling expedition, along with the enchanting surrounding vista. From here, the trail descends toward Ngawal village, touching the route to the Annapurna round trail.

The hike today leads us to one of the most notable settlements of the Annapurna region - Manang (3519 meters), entering the woodlands of fine pine forest, dotted in the rugged terrains and dry landscape along with the Marshyangdi River, we will arrive at Braga village, and also visit to the Braga Tibetan Monastery - one of the popular monastery located at such high elevation. Following the trail adorned with monasteries, gompas, and mani walls, we will do a steep uphill to Mungi, which leads us to Manang with the upfront view of the Annapurna Range. As we arrive here before evening, we will have enough time to explore the village and also visit the Himalaya Rescue Association - HRA - which entails the informative high-elevation expedition, immersing with the rich culture of Thakali and Manange, we will conclude the day here in Manang village.

Leaving the vibrant Manang valley, today the trail leads us to Yak Kharka, walking along the Marshyangdi valley on the northern side, traversing the Gunsang village, and Tengi - the oldest village of Manang district. Then, the route traverses through the terraced fields, giving us an insight into yak grazing on the farms, captivatingly, with other wild Himalayan animals such as blue sheep, blue goats, and Himalayan pheasant, with the backdrop view of Tilicho Peak, Pisang Peak, with many others en route. Finally, after 3 to 4 good hours, we will reach Yak Kharka, where we will be staying overnight at 4050 meters, enjoying the breathtaking vista.

Today, we get to witness the marvelous transition to a more rugged and rocky section of the towering landscape, infused with the snowy frosty peaks, as the hike leads us toward Thorung Phedi - the last stopping point before crossing the high pass. The route navigates through the yak pasture to Ledar village, with the breathtaking view of Tilicho Peak and Pisang Peak, towering high in the alpine valley, passing through land-prone areas of rocky terrains and scrub areas. After crossing the river, we will reach Thorung Phedi, or we can settle in Yak Phedi, which is just a few kilometers below Thorung Phedi. In the evening, we will make some preparations, as tomorrow stands out to be the day when we will cross the thrilling mountain pass of Thorung La Pass.

Today tends to be a long, strenuous wild hike, so get your gear ready and brace yourself, as we will mark a new height of 5416 meters, at Thorung La Pass - the highest walkable pass in the world. The hike is 9 hours long, so stretch your muscles a bit by waking up early in the world. After getting our breakfast packed, we'll commence our journey at 4 AM, walking along the steep section and some glacier-slippery terrains as well, so pay caution while making your way up there. After reaching the top of Thorung La, the breathtaking views of mountains, including Gangapurna and Annapurna, become our first-hand view from the front, whereas, at the back, the rugged view of Mustang valley, stretching with the deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki River, will surely amuse us.

After relishing here for some time, we will make our downhill walk toward Muktinath Temple, touching the Mustang region of Nepal, passing by the Tibetan-influenced route with mani walls, chortens, and reaching Muktinath, we can see a high flow of crowds, as it stands out to be one of the most Hindu significant temples for Buddhism at the same time, having 108 holy taps, believed to wash sins. Also, at the same time, we can see natural burning gas and a hot spring as well. Paying a visit to this temple, we will stay at a nearby hotel, savoring the rich cultural territory and the 1st glance of Mustang as well.

After walking downhill from here, following the Kali Gandaki River, which takes us to Eklebhatti and finally leads to Jomsom. Jomsom stands out to be one of the bustling market spots, or you can also say, the most loved significant spot for individuals, that blends the market hub with the rich culture of the Tibetans where we can also try their dry apple candies, wines, and many more, thriving beautifully in the picturesque town, while staying overnight at Jomsom valley.

Transportation Facilities during the Nar Phu and Annapurna Circuit Trek

To reach the Nar Phu and Annapurna Circuit route, you will be transported to the trailhead, via tourist bus, a deluxe one from Kathmandu directly to Jagat, as in 2025, the roadway to Chame was finally completed, and the bus goes to Chamje. The bus is comfortable with sofa seater, hence you won't find any hassle, till Besisahar, whereas, from Besisahar, expect the road to be a bit bumpy, as it is still in maintenance, but, it lasts for only 1-2 hour. One can upgrade the transportation to a private jeep as well, with additional cost, that can be shared with other 4 to 5 hikers, in a 4WD Jeep.

The walking trail concludes at Jomsom via Muktinath Temple, from where we will take a direct flight to Pokhara, to save extra hours, and also explore the city for the whole day. The trip concludes, after getting back to Kathmandu, from Pokhara in a sofa-seated luxury tourist bus.
