Bharat Gurung, a native of the Gorkha District in Nepal, serves as a senior trekking leader at Destination Himalaya Treks and Expedition. He began his professional journey in the tourism industry in 2001 as a trekking guide and has since accumulated over two decades of extensive field experience.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gurung has successfully led numerous trekking expeditions across Nepal’s most iconic regions, including Annapurna, Everest, Mustang, Langtang, Manaslu, and Makalu, as well as international trips to Tibet and India. His deep understanding of Himalayan geography, high-altitude trails, and mountain passes is complemented by his rich knowledge of local cultures, customs, and traditions.
